INTERTEC AIRPORT DIVISION specialises in installation and commissioning of technical system solutions integrating all airside equipment - whether a single runway or a large airport. From Arctic Greenland to tropical Africa, INTERTEC AIRPORT DIVISION has carried out a wide range of airport projects for more than three decades. Hands-on experience has taught us that the key to successful airport management lies in finding the perfect combination of operational efficiency and safety, technical reliability and financial viability.

INTERTEC’s team of airport specialists has a long record of tailoring the optimum solutions for each individual project irrespective of diversity and scope. INTERTEC solutions are based on commercially available hardware, equipment software and user interface, but also specially developed in close co-operation with air traffic controllers and airport maintenance technicians.

We believe that good solutions spring from a close and mutually advantageous partnership with our clients in all phases of the project. Contracts for service and maintenance of airside installations and training of airport staff are an integral part of our airport projects.

Airfield Ground Lighting and Control Systems

Airfield lighting comes in many variations and serves different purposes, but the overall purpose is to maximise safety and maintain efficient operation of the airport.

The lighting systems are designed to e.g. increase awareness in the air, to improve efficiency and safety from approach to departure, to handle the air and ground traffic safely in all kinds of weather and during low visibility, and to make it easier to navigate on the ground.

Meteorology Systems

Meteorology measurements are of paramount importance to secure safe landing and take-off of aircrafts. The measurements provide accurate information and real time weather forecasts on the weather conditions for the aviation personnel. With meteorology systems it is possible to measure e.g. visibility, pressure, wind speed and direction, temperature, humidity and precipitation.

Communication Systems

Communication must flow efficiently between all aviation personnel and functions involved in the operation of an airport. Highly reliable communication systems thus play an essential part in the communication from ground to ground and from ground to air.

Control Systems

It is of vital importance to maintain operational efficiency and technical reliability to ensure safe airport operations. Control systems unify data and information to create full overview of the operative status which increases efficiency, maintenance and safety.

Control systems make it easier to localize faults and detect errors, facilitates statistical logging of technical performance as well as preventive maintenance.

Navigation and Instrument Landing Systems

The overall purpose of navigation and instrument landing systems is to provide accurate and precise vertical and horizontal navigation guidance information for the aircraft during approach and landing.

Radar and Surveillance Systems

The safety of aircraft operations are vital. Several measures must be taken to secure maximum level of safety at and around the airports. The overall purpose of radar and surveillance systems is to detect and display air traffic in the airspace around airports.
